The Latest AS Roma News
Young Roma striker Zan Celar has signed for Cittadella on a season-long loan, on the same day that he agreed a new contract with the Giallorossi.
Celar will spend the next campaign with the Serie B side, who lost this year's play-off final, which should give him the chance to put himself to the test in senior football more regularly. The 20-year-old Slovenian attacker has signed a new professional deal with Roma - for whom he made his first team debut as a substitute in Claudio Ranieri's first game back in charge in March - which will last until 2023. It remains his only appearance for Roma to date, but he has been in eye-catching form for the Primavera side. After being Roma's top scorer in the U19 championship in his first season in Italy, he went one better last term, as he outscored every other player in the division with 28 goals. In bocca al lupo, Zan.
