Roma will face Shakhtar Donetsk in the Round of 16 of the Champions League.
Roma were one of the eight top seeds for the draw after topping Group C, with three wins, two draws and one defeat. As first seed, Roma will be away to the Ukrainians in the first leg (in February), and home in the second leg (in March). Roma will be hoping to match their best ever Champions League standings, having reached the quarter finals on two separate occasions.

After an outstanding performance against Qarabag, Diego Perotti has extended his contract with Roma.
His new deal will expire in 2021. The news comes just days after Kostas Manolas also renewed his contract with the club. Perotti, 29, joined Roma from Genoa in January 2016. He has gone on to score 18 goals in 78 appearances for the club so far. Defender Kostas Manolas has signed a new contract with Roma that will run until 2022.
The Greek international, now aged 26, initially joined the club in 2014 and has gone on to become a key member of Roma’s backline. Manolas has spoke of his happiness at renewing his contract, saying it was what he wanted. His previous deal had been due to run out in 2019. |
