The Latest AS Roma News
Defender Davide Santon has revealed that he feels like he has settled at Roma, whilst also discussing the impact of head coach Claudio Ranieri.
The full-back joined Roma from Inter in the summer, along with Nicolo Zaniolo, in the deal that saw Radja Nainggolan go the other way. And although Santon hasn't always been a starter, the Italian has revealed that he is pleased with his time at the club so far. The former Newcastle United man told Chronicle Live: "I’m enjoying playing for my new team AS Roma, the fans are very passionate and always create a great atmosphere. "My family have settled very well here and we are happy." Santon also gave insight into how Ranieri's training sessions have pushed the squad so far. "You face a new challenge in every training session and in every game. "You never stop learning. It’s a few weeks I have known Ranieri and things are going well. "He has great experience - winning the title with Leicester for one. "So I’m looking forward to following his lead and hopefully finishing with a Champions League position this year. Santon has made nine starts in Serie A this season, but with regular full-backs Aleksandar Kolarov and Alessandro Florenzi currently nursing injuries, there should be plenty of opportunities for him to add to that tally.
