The Latest AS Roma News
Monaco captain Radamel Falcao is the latest name to emerge as a strike target for Roma, amid continuing uncertainty over Edin Dzeko’s future.
Dzeko has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer, with his contract expiring in less than 12 months. However, the Nerazzurri are struggling to meet Roma’s €20m asking price, only reaching €15m so far. According to Radio Kiss Kiss, Napoli are now considering a move for Dzeko - who could make the same switch as former teammate Kostas Manolas this summer. Their interest is still very much in its formative stages, with no official bid being received yet. In the case of Dzeko leaving, Roma are targeting a big name such as Gonzalo Higuain or Mauro Icardi as a replacement. However, Corriere Dello Sport claim a new name has entered the frame, in the shape of Falcao. The striker is open to leaving Monaco this summer, and is in the same contractual situation as Dzeko, as his deal expires in 2020. Galatasaray are also interested in the 33-year-old Colombian, however, and are understood to be ahead of Roma in the battle to sign him.
