The Latest AS Roma News
Paris Saint Germain have reportedly proposed the idea of a swap deal between Edin Dzeko and Edinson Cavani, but Roma are not so keen for now.
Cavani is expected to leave PSG at the end of the season, given that he only has one year left on his contract and has fallen out of favour under Thomas Tuchel. He has already been linked with Manchester United and Atletico Madrid. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, PSG have their eyes on Roma forward Edin Dzeko as a replacement, and could offer Cavani the other way. The Uruguayan striker does, of course, have experience in Serie A, having previously played for Palermo and Napoli. At present, the idea seems a little far-fetched. Cavani's salary is significantly greater than Dzeko's, and given that Cavani is only one year younger than the Bosnian, it would not represent an investment for the future. However, given the money that James Pallotta is reportedly willing to spend to bring Antonio Conte to the club as manager, perhaps he will consider splashing out on Cavani. For the moment, it appears to just be a rumour. Want more Roma news on your timeline? Like the new Giallorossi Yorkshire Facebook page!
