The Latest AS Roma News
We knew that transfer deadline day would be relatively quiet for Roma, with Monchi confirming beforehand that the club had finished adding to their squad. There was one deal confirmed on the day though, as Marco Tumminello was loaned out to Crotone.
Tumminello, 18, is a Primavera graduate at Roma who plays as a centre forward. He came on as a late substitute against Inter Milan last Saturday. He will now spend the season at Crotone to gain experience and playing time. Incidentally, it was Crotone where Alessandro Florenzi spent his year out on loan (in the 2011/12 season) before going on to become a first team regular at Roma. It is understood that Crotone do not have an option to purchase the player as part of the deal, so we can expect to see Tumminello back in Rome in the future. Hopefully, he will have a few goals to his name by then. Good luck, Marco.
