1981 – Federico Balzaretti was born. The left-back spent the last three years of his career with Roma before retiring and accepting an off-the-field role with the club. The most memorable moment of his time with Roma was his goal in the 2013 Derby Della Capitale, one of two goals he scored for the club. Also:
2014 – Adem Ljajic scored a late brace as Roma came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Sassuolo. Daniele De Rossi was sent off early in the second half. 2009 – Roma beat Lazio 1-0 thanks to a Marco Cassetti goal, making it five games unbeaten in Serie A as a result. 2008 – Roma beat Chievo 1-0 at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. Jeremy Menez scored before Matteo Brighi was sent off. 1992 – Ruggiero Rizzitelli scored a late winner in a 1-0 victory over Parma. 1967 – Roma lost 2-1 to Spartak TAZ Trnava in the Central European Cup first round first leg. Fabio Enzo scored a consolation. 1959 – Roma drew 0-0 with Alessandria. 1953 – Juventus beat Roma 3-0. 1942 – Roma threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Bari. Cesare Benedetti and Aristide Coscia had scored.
