1965 – Aldair was born. The Brazilian defender made over 300 appearances for Roma across 13 seasons, being an integral part of the side which won the 2001 Scudetto and Supercoppa Italiana. He also won the Coppa Italia in 1991, at the end of his first season with the club. He lies fifth on the club's all-time leading appearance chart, and is the only foreign player in the top 15. Gervinho and Jose Holebas also scored. 2008 – Francesco Totti scored the winner in a 1-0 triumph against Fiorentina. 2003 – Roma beat Lecce 3-1 with goals from Mancini, John Carew and Francesco Totti. 1997 – Francesco Totti and Paulo Sergio scored in a 2-0 triumph over Parma. 1994 – Roma lost 3-0 to Juventus in the first leg of their Coppa Italia quarter-final. 1986 – Roma beat Juventus 3-0 as Klaus Bergreen, Stefano Desideri and Giuseppe Giannini scored. 1980 – Roberto Pruzzo scored a hat trick as Roma won 3-1 over Udinese. 1975 – Roma drew for the fourth consecutive game in Serie A, 1-1 against Torino. Piergiorgio Negrisolo scored the equaliser. 1972 – Abel Xavier was born. The defender played for Roma briefly in 2004-05. 1969 – Roma and Torino drew 0-0. 1958 – Arne Selmosson became the first player to have scored for either side in the Derby Della Capitale by scoring nine minutes into Roma’s game against his former side Lazio. The Giallorossi won 3-1 as Dino Da Costa scored a brace to follow up. 1952 – Roma lost 3-1 to Inter, with Giovanni Perissinotto scoring a consolation. 1947 – Roma drew 1-1 with Vicenza. Paolo Jacobini scored early on. 1941 – Alberto Ginulfi was born. The goalkeeper played for Roma more than 100 times between 1962 and 1975, only conceding 152 goals in 157 league appearances. 1941 – Goals from Luigi Di Pasquale and Aldo Donati gave Roma a 2-0 win over Milan, sending the Giallorossi top of the league. 1930 – Roma beat Pro Vercelli 3-0 away with goals from Arturo Chini, Raffaele Costantino and Fernando Eusebio.
