2003 – Jesse Carver died aged 92. The Englishman managed Roma from 1954 to 1956. Carver was the third of four English people to manage Roma, the others being William Garbutt, Herbert Burgess and Alec Stock. Taking over partway through the 1953-54 season, he led Roma to a sixth-placed finish, improving to a third-place finish in his only full season with the club. Also:

Antonio Valentin Angelillo scored. 1962 – Sheffield Wednesday beat Roma 4-0 in the Inter Cities Fairs Cup Round of 16 first leg. 1953 – Carlo Galli scored for a third game running as Roma drew 1-1 with Lazio. 1942 – Roma drew 1-1 with Bologna as Edmondo Mornese scored an equaliser. 1936 – Roma and Genoa drew 0-0. 1931 – Fulvio Bernardini scored to give Roma a 1-0 win over Napoli.
