1990 – Rudi Voller scored a hat trick as Roma thrashed Bordeaux 5-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Cup third round tie. Manuel Gerolin added a brace to complete the scoring. Roma went on to win the second leg 2-0, helping them on their way to the final of the competition, in which they lost to Inter. It remains the only season in which Roma have reached the final of the UEFA Cup/Europa League. Also:

Francesco Totti scored a late consolation. 1999 – Vincenzo Montella scored his fifth and sixth goals in four games as Roma beat Udinese 2-0. 1995 – Tin Jedvaj was born. The defender made two appearances for Roma as a teenager before moving to Bayer Leverkusen. 1993 – Thomas Hassler scored an equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Cagliari. 1982 – Roma drew 0-0 at Catanzaro. 1976 – Roma lost 1-0 to Lazio. 1971 – Goals from Sergio Petrelli, Sergio Santarini and Gianfranco Zigoni led to a 3-1 win over Mantova. 1965 – Roma lost 3-1 to Milan, Angelo Spanio scoring the side’s only goal. 1948 – Roma beat Inter 1-0 through a Bruno Pesaola goal. 1937 – Roma ended a two-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Juventus. Otello Subinaghi and Oliviero Mascheroni scored.
