1987 – Oliviero Mascheroni died at the age of 73. He played for Roma between 1937 and 1939. A winger, Mascheroni made a total of 36 Serie A appearance for Roma, scoring nine goals. He also played for the likes of Milan, Torino and Inter in his career. Also:

Christian Panucci and Ludovic Giuly netted before him. 2005 – Roma drew 1-1 with Fiorentina after Damiano Tommasi’s early goal. 2004 – Vincenzo Montella and Francesco Totti each scored a brace in a 4-0 win over Siena. 2003 – Roma advanced to the third round of the UEFA Cup after Antonio Cassano scored in a 1-1 draw which resulted in a 2-1 aggregate win. 2002 – Thierry Henry scored a hat trick as Arsenal beat Roma 3-1 in the Champions League second group stage. Antonio Cassano had opened the scoring. 2001 – Roma recovered from a first leg deficit to beat Piacenza 3-0 in the Coppa Italia Round of 16. Christian Panucci, Antonio Cassano and Damiano Tommasi scored. 1994 – Roma beat Lazio 3-0 with goals from Abel Balbo, Massimiliano Cappioli and Daniel Fonseca. 1988 – Roma were beaten 3-1 by Torino. Roberto Policano scored the Giallorossi's solitary goal. 1983 – Inter beat Roma 1-0 in Serie A. 1977 – LR Vicenza beat Roma 4-3, in a game in which the Lupi were never in front. The Giallorossi's scorers were Agostino Di Bartolomei, Domenico Maggiora and Walter Casaroli. 1960 – Roma beat Juventus 2-1 with goals from Francisco Lojacono and Pedro Manfredini. 1956 – Lionello Manfredonia was born. A Lazio youth product, he finished his career with Roma between the years of 1987 and 1989. 1938 – Roma drew 0-0 at Ambrosiana. 1927 – Roma drew 1-1 at home to Casale. Fernando Canestrelli scored.
