2014 – Francesco Totti extended his record as the Champions League’s oldest ever goalscorer with a free kick in a 1-1 group stage draw with CSKA Moscow. Totti had become the oldest scorer in competition history two months earlier, by scoring against Manchester City. However, he made sure the record became even harder to beat by opening the scoring against CSKA. He was 38 years and 59 days old at the time. It looked as if the goal would be enough for Roma to win, before the Russians equalised in the third minute of stoppage time. Also:

Thomas Berthold, Aldair, Stefano Desideri and Rudi Voller scored. 1984 – Ascoli held Roma to a 0-0 draw. 1979 – Carlo Ancelotti scored to give Roma a 1-0 win over Ascoli, their first win in eight league games. 1973 – Roma lost 1-0 at Foggia. 1964 – Antonio Valentin Angelillo scored to give Roma a 1-0 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Round of 32 second leg win over NK Zagreb. Roma went through 2-1 on aggregate. 1962 – Torino came from two goals down to hold Roma to a 2-2 draw. Pedro Manfredini had scored a brace for the Lupi. 1956 – Roma lost 3-2 to Inter. Goals from Arcadio Venturi and Gunnar Nordahl couldn’t inspire a comeback. 1945 – Roma beat Fiorentina 1-0 through an Enzo Cozzolini goal. 1944 – Gianfranco Zigoni was born. A forward, he played for Roma between 1970 and 1972, scoring 12 goals. 1934 – Enrique Guaita scored for a fourth consecutive game as Roma beat Ambrosiana 1-0. 1928 – Roma beat La Dominante 2-1 with a goal from Rodolfo Volk and a Fulvio Bernardini penalty.
