2016 – Edin Dzeko scored a hat trick in a 4-1 Europa League group stage win over Viktoria Plzen. The other goal was given as an own goal after a remarkable Diego Perotti rabona cross/shot. It was Dzeko's first hat trick for the club, coming as his record-breaking season was beginning to gather pace. His first goal was an incredible curled left-footed effort from a tight angle. In the second half, he headed home Antonio Rudiger's cross, and tapped home with his left foot again to round off the scoring. He finished the group stages that year with an impressive five goals, having scored a brace against Austria Wien on the previous matchday. After adding another hat trick in the Round of 32, against Villarreal, Dzeko finished the season as the Europa League's joint-top scorer. Also:

Ruggiero Rizzitelli and Giuseppe Giannini scored. 1985 – Roma beat Milan 2-1 with goals from Bruno Conti and Toninho Cerezo. 1982 – FC Koln beat Roma 1-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Cup Round of 16 clash. 1974 – Juventus beat Roma 1-0. 1968 – Roma lost in Serie A for the third successive game, falling 2-0 to Verona. 1963 – Roma drew 0-0 away at Fiorentina. 1957 – Giovanni Griffith scored a late penalty to clinch a 1-1 draw for Roma against LR Vicenza (who themselves had taken the lead from a spot kick). 1946 – Roma drew 0-0 at Inter. 1940 – Amedeo Amadei scored an equaliser for the second game running as Roma drew 1-1 with Lazio. 1929 – Roma beat Ambrosiana 2-0 with goals from Oreste Benatti and Arturo Chini.
